Our Goal

Net Zero Home Plan has as its main goal to provide all these things in a way that meets family’s needs and is truly affordable (less than $200,000 total construction cost!).  Using this system our houses can literally be built anywhere from the equator to the poles and in every country in the world and they will always perform to meet every design feature.  They can be adapted to all ground conditions.  They use easily sourced and readily available materials.  They use simple, but tried and tested construction methodologies that do not need special equipment or techniques.

In order to make these designs accessible worldwide Net Zero Home Plan has made them fully compliant with the International Residential Code (IRC) – the gold standard used universally for residential construction.

FAQ

Can I build your plans anywhere?

Absolutely.  By using passive design principles these houses operate efficiently on the equator to the poles. They also meet the latest International Building Codes, so they can be built practically anywhere in the entire world.

Is this technology tried and tested?

The system uses everyday products that are accessible everywhere. It relies on tried and tested materials that have a long history of testing, certifications and known attributes.  If you chose the option of using ferrocement – this form of concrete was first produced in 1932 and is used extensively throughout the world.

How much will it cost to build a home?

House construction costs are dependent on where the house is built; the level of finishes selected like countertops, flooring, plumbing and kitchen appliances, molding and trim; size and complexity of the home; and the cost of the land. The home plans being offered have been constructed in Florida with construction only costs of between $150,000 - $200,000 (using 2023 pricing).
